The 24940 Low Pick-Up Water Separating Fuel Filter for Mercury/Mariner/Force from GLM prevents air from entering the fuel system and eliminates fuel starvation. Engine compartment temperatures can rise on hot summer days creating high gasoline temperatures. High temps and agitation caused by harsh seas can aerate the gasoline in the water/fuel separator filter turning it into foam.
